Over the course of ten weeks we will be learning about the foundations of Judaism – covering history, sacred texts, theology, liturgy, Jewish denominations and diversity, the holiday cycle, Shabbat, varying relationships to Israel, and aspects of secular and cultural Judaism. There will be time in each session for you to bring your questions and insights as we create a shared community of interest and exploration.

If you’re interested in learning about Judaism – whatever your background – if you’re looking for a refresher course, are in an interfaith couple exploring Jewish life, and if you’re considering conversion to Judaism through our Journey to Judaism program – this is the course for you! No previous Jewish knowledge is required. Just bring a thirst for learning and discussing!

Judaism 101 will be facilitated by Director of Education, Sue Bojdak.

If you’re a member, remember to ask for your member discount code to heidy@shaarzahav.org.
